Hello! I’m Ayushman. It’s a pleasure to meet you.
I’m a trader at Optiver – and a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge. You’ve probably come here from my résumé, socials, or I’ve referred you here in person. Whatever your reason for stopping by, I hope you can learn a bit more about me.
Professionally, I’m lucky enough to have had both bottom-up micro and top-down macro experience. I interned at PIMCO, the world’s largest bond fund, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the world’s largest derivatives marketplace. I also spent over a year working at a Series A-stage MedTech startup in business development and corporate strategy (as employee #5!) – helping their C-suite raise over $4 million. On aspirations, I think I’d like to start some sort of macro fund someday.
My academic interests are varied. I’m particularly interested in economic history – but my general interest in history is broad: I’ve written some pieces for Cambridge’s student newspaper, Varsity, on early student life from the 17th through to the 19th centuries. Beyond the academic arena, I’ve dabbled in student theatre (generally playing the villains – which I like to stress is no indication of character) and politics.
I couldn’t possibly confine myself to a few walls of words, so if you’d like to chat, please drop me an email – I’d love to talk.
